Bottle Tops
« on: August 24, 2009, 10:10:14 AM »
OK BUFC, surely it's time to stop nicking the bottle tops off the diet Pepsi when I purchase from the snack bar. I don't know any other Club in the country that still does this. I've recently visited Championship grounds where this archaic practice was outlawed years ago.

On a hot day like Saturday it just means a flat drink after 30 minutes - not to mention knocking it over spillage.

How do we put a stop to this ? I mean, I could just shove a bottle down my jeans and walk in with it anyway.

I agree.  On Saturday my open topped bottle seemed to be a magnet for a rather persistant wasp, and by the time the bottle was 1/3 full it was fairly flat.   >:(

It still happens at Old Trafford, even on a bottle of beer you couldn't actually take into the stand anyway!
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

They still do it at Sincil Bank. One fan was ejected for refusing to take the top off the bottle he brought in. Having said that, most Lincoln fans couldn't take the top off without using a rock anyway  ;D

When my drink was still three quarters full on Saturday I too had a rather persistant wasp who decided to fall in. >:(  Bring back the bottle tops!

(I knew we could find something to moan about.)

*shifty eyes*

You could always bring in an extra bottle top from home...

And if they win, keep it as a lucky bottle top

They would not let me keep my top at a freindly , saying they would carry on till instructed other wise , for that reason i refuse to buy inside the ground but always take my own , They must make a profit of about 50p per bottle so thats £20 profit lost in a season from me alone , how many more people do the same ?
Profit the club needs  ???
