It will probably be better for them to have lost today, trying to build a side that could compete in the BSP would mean spending even more money they don't have.

Well done to Nuneaton though, remember them going bust when we got demoted from the BSN, sometimes makes you wonder if going bust and starting again would have been preferable in 2007.

Nope, our history would have been lost, we'd have to wipe the board clean and build from the bottom. We got very luck with Dave Newton coming in, we're Boston United and we should always be Boston United, not AFC Boston or FC United of Boston.

Whilst it would have whiped away the debt AFC Boston isn't what we are I would rather support Boston United and am very proud to. We may indeed be in a better position to attract better players debt free but no thanks.

Maybe we wont hear which players have signed until the first pre season session as this will probably be the next time all the lads will be in town to sign BSN registration forms.

According to their chairman a win today was worth £250.000 so after sharing the gate money 3.800 x £12 with Nunny and the league it should have yielded about £20.000 max.
This should allow the new '' all seater stadium '' which he says will be ready for next summer to go ahead, so accepting the norm  that a new stadium costs £1000 per seat it appears that 15 of their loyal supporters will have to stand up.
Okay Iv'e had a couple to celebrate Nunnys promotion and will dream sweet dreams tonight.
Pilgrims forever.

Sorry Andy I used the figure that Radio Lincs gave in commentary which I now believe put some 600 onto the actual gate. Blow me nobody gets a seat in their new stadium.

2500 would be generous.

The only part of the ground anything like full was the away end.

not sure why they would lie about the attendance as they have to share gate receipts

They sold 2700 home tickets (a sell out) and over 1000 away tickets.

Just looking at that footage of the goal there seems to be a hell of a lot of space on the Nuneaton right for a sell out
