Who can forget Andy Marriott!

Played once for Sunderland, made a huge blunder and never played again.
Birmingham I think? At White Hart Lane, allowing Robbie Keane to steal it off him...
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

Gordon Bolland

Mike Pinner

Lawrie Madden

The names so far seem to be mainly "has-beens" on the way down, not very many progressed upwards from Boston.

Norris to Bolton would be a good example of a player going up. Cannoville also played one game for Arsenal

There was the mid 1980s Notts County contingent:-
- Ray O'Brien
- Paul Hooks
- Pedro Richards

Arthur Mann was there as well, but I don't he think he was part of their squad when he was in the top division. But he may have played top flight for Manchester City?

what about our local fundraiser extraordinaire.....Bob Lee???

And yes there does seem to be a message here that we have not traditionally nurtured yoof and sold them on. Anyone who has been any good has gone off to the likes of Leicester at a young age. Perhaps now with a yoof set up things can be different. Of course for many years it was simply the 1st team only.

Michael Robinson went to Chelsea at the same time as Gordon Bolland. However unlike Bolland who got a couple of games for Chelsea before moving on I don't think Michael Robinson ever turned out for their first team. See the Classic Game against Chelsea for details.

Only played in the Mickey Mouse league cup I believe?
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.
