We still need a holding midfield player ?

>>>>

Boston United midfielder Craig Armstrong has departed The Jakemans Stadium.

The 35-year-old, who arrived from Eastwood Town in September, has joined Evo-Stik Division One South side Hucknall Town as player-coach.

Armstrong, who made three appearances for the Pilgrims, has linked up with Des Lyttle in a new management structure at Watnall Road.

He made his debut at Altrincham on October 8 and has since played in the successive victories over Histon and Workington.

Boston United would like to thank the player for his service during his short spell with the Pilgrims

A Bizarre one, he has obviously offered something cos we stopped the rot. We need another player like him in before the weekend unless we put Hall back in the middle.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

................Armstrong IMO was poor v Workington.......lost the ball too many times, too many misplaced passes and no pace so he couldnt track back.....An admirable effort but really completely out of his depth-the years have finally caught up with a once fine midfield player....

To be fair to Hall he seemed to be getting to grips with the position with White and Ward behind him before he was asked to cover the departure of Holsgrove. IMO he does try to play football once in possession and although we won on Saturday Armstrong was poor and the game was crying out for someone to pass the ball from the back. We spent too much time trying to win the ball back after hopeful punts upfield or giving the ball away, particularly in first half.
Not sure why Hall has so many detracters.

He's a winger who the managers tried to push into a deep playmaking role, but it didn't suit him as he likes to dribble with the ball.
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

My Grandaughter likes to dribble with the ball, makes a right mess of her bibs.
