BOSTON Town boss Martyn Lakin says he feels ‘proud’ that Nathan Stainfield has moved on to join rivals Boston United.

The defender has signed Blue Square Bet North forms with the Pilgrims after returning from coaching in the USA.

Stainfield was expected to rejoin Town, who he turned out for last season.

However, after being snapped up by United, it seems the defender will spend time with UCL Premier rivals Spalding Town.
