Blyth AWAY; Todays game.
« on: September 17, 2011, 01:06:43 PM »
Just taken a look at the league table.  A win today see's us on the tails of a playoff place.  That's just bonkers with how shit we've been this season so far.  This is a poor league this year and apart from the runaway two, I don't think we should fear anyone but ourselves and our own implossion.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Did they draw straws on the bus as to who would play full back?  :o

Defense has been good, just 8 goals conceded which is only one more than Hyde, unfortunately its the other end, we are now the (joint) second worst team in the league at scoring goals, just seven.

Even Workington who are bottom with one win all season have scored more goals than us. The Lee's know it, Dave must know it, a striker (or two) is needed to launch a play-off push

If you think a striker or two will fire us into the play offs you must watch a different game to me......

We are constantly over run in midfield, there's no creativity, Semple hides for most of the game and The Captain and his First Mate on the touchline stand there like a pair of tailors dummies.

Face facts;
The chairman went for the cheap option as he's no longer propping the club up with his cash (which he has every right to do) and its backfired. My question to Dave Newton and the board is why did we advertise for managers with experience of Evo Stick Level and above and yet we appoint these two with no discernible experience other than taking over Shorty and Shouty's excellent squad and overseeing ultimate failure in the play offs?

Today's game was always going to be tough, they all will be now because we're sinking like a stone and all this nonsense about the play offs will be replaced by talk of relegation which will become a reality unless these two's services are quickly dispensed with.

The folly of the cheap option will show in Tuesday gate which will struggle to pass 900 after another shameful attacking 'performance' this afternoon.

I'll still be there, supporting, cursing, moaning, kicking the wall on the Spain Road
side. I've been going to watch BUFC (on and off) since about 1956, through good times and bad, and will continue to support my Club, I think I am one of the founder
members of the "Happy Clappers Club) and long may it thrive. ;D

Well said Norty40! Don't think the chairman and directors could argue against that statement!A loss on Tuesday will be the end of JL and LC managing ambitions!

pathetic is about all I can say about our performances this season.

I agree with every word Andy has said, but I will be there on Tuesday, because despite what I criticise these managers for and DN for appointing them I am a true supporter of my team through thick and thin, but things must be changed and soon.
