I bet Jamie S has some stories to tell . . .

Matt Hocking was there too

The order of these two posts raised a smile....I hadn't heard the MH rumour  ;D

It's good we're keeping stum though, there is not a lot of media coverage of our opposition and you can bet Swann and his chequebook are ready to steal any little gems Lee and Lee have got lined up.

Little gems?  There must be a joke there somewhere about Swann and vegetables?

I'd like to see Jamie Stevens back - he showed a lot of promise when he was here before.

I thought Hocking was a decent Conference standard defender but that was 10 years ago.  I wouldn't think he would be a first choice, but in situations like we had last season with injuries, it would be useful to be able to call on someone experienced to fill in for a couple of games.

I  now do understand  and support  (if its deliberate)  the reticence by the Club  to open up on signings at this time .
You  feel that Grim by . . Lincoln or Painsborough  are just waiting  to sign any thing that moves at our pre-seasons .
Also now almost thankful the first public friendly is n't for a while ..
What is needed is a practice match well behind closed- doors  . . North Sea Camp  anyone  ?

Some people need to look a little past there own noses.

im not writting anyone of new or past, young or old. Im more intrested in waiting to see if they can do the job first.

Caught a glimpse of training last night. Says alot but thought the most enthusiastic and fittest of trainers on view was Bassa. He was really showing some of the others the way.
A few old faces, Milly, Liam P there as well as Mat H, JJ and Jamie S. Didn't recognise any of the trialist. Saddest sight of the night was that the Newsh is obviously not fit yet. Having treatment rather than training. Hope he does not miss out fully on pre season training again as it looks like we are going to need a fit Newsh. Wardy looked to have the right attitude so not supprised they have signed him.

How'd Milly get on last year, showed promise until that injury.  Just wonder if it is possible to make your way back from that.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Just listened to the interview with the new fitness coach Ian Freeman, during which time a practice match was obviously taking place in the background. Players were calling each other's name during that match, and I'm sure I heard someone shout "Deano" amidst the background noise midway through the interview.

That name doesn't fit with any of the players already signed.

Is Harry Deane still on the scene? He finished last season at Stamford with Millson and Parker, and they've both been involved in training according to other posts.

Or are we taking a look at another Dean? (hopefully it isn't Saunders or Windass or Trott). Any clues?

The bookies don't seem to be as well informed as the fans at this level.  Guiseley were 50-1 to win the BSN last season when we were about 10-1 - I was tempted but couldn't bring myself to back Guiseley, even at those odds.  Was wishing I'd had them E/W by the end of the season.
