Well lets face it Hurst and Scott gave chances to ex Rotherham academy kids and they did OK at this level.  Only time will tell...early days yet.

Exactly. You have to remember the difference in level between Forest and County and ourselves... we're not going to be getting their best youngsters are we? And neither is anyone else in this league...

We are on a tight budget so I suppost we have to cut our cloth to fit.

How many houses do you think DN and NK sold in the last year?

I think we missed our chance last year, now we have to make do until things pick up.

I say give them all a chance, the time to judge is surely is when we see them play.

Good luck Jordan and welcome to Boston United.

My first post was actually in jest and i hope he turns out to be a top player. I just hope we are not signing mates sons.We had young players on loan last season who were technically good but in my opinion fell short physically and mentally in a tough "mans " league. This season will be tougher in my opinion. Im a glass half full type but am starting to worry  about next season and just hope we can sign Spencer again otherwise it may be an anticlimax to what was started two years ago

Sorry but I'm getting a bad feeling about next season........

Another 'lazy' signing IMO, I'm worried we're going to be filled up with cast offs from Forest's and County's academies. At least the lads who H&S brought in were proven in a very good Ilkeston side, it strikes me this kid is not in the same class.

Prove me wrong please

Crikey, there I was thinking we had moved on from the automatic negative thoughts!

We'll never move on from not giving people a chance. If he plays bad in his first game he'll be in trouble. And as for the proven players s&h  bought in, well true but when they signed for ilkeston they where all risks and as i remember it was holdsworth who signed them in the first place

I'll wait until conceding our first throw-in at our first pre-season game before criticising him

Short memories some people. Cully is great on Twitter, rubbish on the football field.

Give the new boy a chance FFS  ;)

When I see something that makes me think we've made a signing that will enhance what we have already I'll be the first to praise for sure.....

Sadly I think we'll be waiting a long time.

Posting negative comments isnt going to help the club

he seems an eager player who wants to work his way to pro football and he is young so has alot to learn. think of the positives rather than negatives

Can't please some, when it was mentioned this signing today was well into his 30's it had grumble of "hes too old, lack of ambition blah blah blah"' now its a young who sounds to me is ambitous its "oh we're gonna get all the Forest and County accedemy rejects"

as i said can't please some
