A great old photo

Its taken in front of the old main stand where there was a small terrace in front of the seats for those not old enough to remember a pre redevelopment York St.

Its late 40's or early 50's, Dad's brother found it, he's in the picture. And look at the face on the old boy 2nd from left behind the barrier, if thats his entertainment God help him when he wasn't enjoying himself!

Looks like owning a cap and hat shop in Boston would have been a shrewd business move back then....!!!

A few of his relatives can be found regularly around the ground on a matchday.

Supporters sitting in front of the barrier. And not a yellow hatch marking in sight. What would today's stewards make of that? And when exactly was Health & Safety invented?

Its a shame Nasty Nick The Steward wasnt there!All those fags and pipes he would have loved it showing his authority!
