Are they just offering all our players double wages?

Another player they will have to pay us for because of his age.

Never really got a run in the team, probably could have stepped upto the plate (or played at right back cos he looked ok there.)

Oh well, no big shakes.

If Trinity want to build a team to challenge at the top end of the table, they'll need better than Yates & Clarke!

Has this been reported anywhere officially?

It isn't on Boston's site (understandable, if Craig is away).

It isn't on Gainsborough's site. Seems surprising, given that they weren't exactly backwards in reporting the capture of Jamie Yates.

I can't find it reported on any other site (Lincolnshire Echo, etc).

Is it definitely true?

It'll all come out in the wash. We're bound to lose a few along the way, that's the nature of the game,  a few out a few in.  If he's gone with JY for more money then good luck to him i'll not lose any sleep over either of them.
If Trinity can chuck money about like confetti more fool them! If it all falls around their ears in months to come, they will have no one to blame but themselves. I'd much sooner stick with the DN approach to things.
This is what we can afford to pay and that's all we're going to pay. If you want to play for the best club in the league, sign on the dotted line, if not, then thank you and goodbye.
Mr Newton, i'm not certain if you read this site but keep up the good work.

So their strategy is not to "build a young hungry squad",it is in fact to just sign our squad!  Very creative management by Little!

Well it's been announced on the Gainsborough forum by "Sandsman" who happens to be Peter Swann so I should that's as official as you'll get with Trinity.  It seems with ex-Pilgrims so far being Dominic Roma, Jamie Yates and Shane Clarke they are opting for a Pilgrims XI !  As far as I'm concerned Shane Clarke was OK but certainly not as key player as Yates was. He did alright at right back, very fit (as an ex pro should be) but was prone to plenty of misplaced passes in midfield.  Surprised he wasn't released. We can let Brain Little turn him into a great player. (Or not as the case may be !)
