there is a lot to be learnt from those that have walked the line etc.

If they are brining him in as a 'star' or 'leading' role then oh deary me.  If they are brining him in as a supportive, mentoring, guiding role then fair play to em.

oxo - I had heard that too. He will certainly help plug the gap in the defence. The back line is nearly sorted already. Bazza, Jellyman, Austin, Canoville and Stevens. Not bad eh!

The Stevens returning was the first i heard around 10 days ago from a person who works in football.

Dudfield was 30 when he came back. JJ is 36, had a game that was at least partly reliant on pace and has been on the way down for a while. I wouldn't mind being proved wrong, but I'd be surprised if we signed him let alone him doing well.

I think at our level we could venture into the trialist method for testing out potential new signings to weed out the old and tired from the old and still half decent lot.

As dudfield was a good example of someone who gives 110% i think may not be a simple as it was for him.

JJ would be a risk purely financially let alone if he could get the job done.

To echo a point made previously I think we should concentrate on young and hungry lads.

Just another thought, with Jason Lee having already said he would like the reserve and younger players to feel like they have a chance in the first team.  Are we more likely to see some of our own youth team products give a chance?  Surely they fit in the bracket of young and hungary, if they have the ability why not give them a proper chance?

Whats the point in having them then?  Same goes for the Youth Team!  If we're going to run these sides we've got to give the players a chance otherwise there is no point.
