Slash and burn at Lincoln

It appears our neighbours are taking the slash and burn approach to being relegated! Who needs a decent youth setup, reserve team, community setup?! It's all about the first team?!!

Actually they are doing the right thing, and seeing where costs can be saved, as their income will be less than the current season just ended...

I dont see how getting rid of ur youth team is a good idea or saves cash in the long run and it is no way to run a football club

Just seems to be the polar opposite of our setup using every possible avenue to raise funds to support the first team. The chairman seems to want to pump everything into the first team, if it is unsuccessful then all other areas of the club will be cut to accomdate it.

Rip out the foundations to build a new roof.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Obviously it saves cash - short term, youth teams are not profit-making outfits.

We could well benefit by players who would've gone there, coming here instead.

I have no sympathy for them, they invented the word corrupt in the 80's.  The fans came over with a holier than thou attitude when we went tits up.  It is because of them that the administration rules came in.  They started it all and received no punishment, look what happened to us.  Demoted three leagues and a VERY hard road back, and the establishment against us.  I know this is down to he who must not be mentioned, but I love it :D  What goes around comes around.  Rant over.

They won't be bouncing straight back into the League like they did last time! Whoever loses the Conference P/O Final will be favourites to win the league.
