On The Subject Of Managers............
« on: May 11, 2011, 11:01:05 AM »
.......Tommy Taylor has been appointed as manager of Belper Town,to be assisted by Jon Froggatt(mark 2).I'm sure Tommys depth of knowledge of Unibond/Evostick football will stand them in good stead. ;D

The football we played under Tommy was very good, his team just didn't have the backbone to stand up to the thuggish league we were in. If he can get a couple of enforcers I'd guess a team of his would do well at any level. Good luck to TT.

Good luck too Tommy, considering he came to United and built a team within about two weeks I think he did well in the first season,he just didn't strengthen the team for the next season and that cost him his job...

Best of luck to Tommy .   His results were not good but he and Chestnuts were an idel team to start and bring respectability back to the club.

Tommy was the right man at the right time.

However, he shouldn't have started the next season here, his sides were making the same mistakes every week and yet he didn't seem to know what to do.

Probably Dave's only mistake in his time here was not changing managers at the end of the 1st season, but its not an issue now.
