How about David Holdsworth? He worked with many of our squad at Ilkeston.

(I don't remember seeing him appointed anywhere after leaving Mansfield.)

It was his squad that S&H took over and then largely moved here so good shout.

I know Mark Atkin from Matlock has applied but id be suprised and dissapointed if he was in the running.
I think he's done a decent job there.
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

If Atkins gets the job could he convince Ross Hannah to join us?

Whoever joins us should keep Jason Lee on as an assistant as he knows the squad and would be able to advise on who to keep.

It could be a manager whos recently visited York Street. He would probably want to move to a bigger club than a small club near Leeds!

I myself would give it to Jase/Canners as they know the spirit within this bunch of lads so would know what type of player to bring in AND would add to 'continuty' and might give us our best chance of keeping a decent chunk of this lot.

After that i wouldn't mind Paul  Cox as he did well with Eastwood and i wouldn't mind Kitterick from Guislsey if we had a similar situation to when S/H came here, taking Ilkeston up then dropping down a level to us

But whatever happens, happens i have faith in DN/NK that they will pick the right choice

Its funny how some people act as if they are in the  'know' who the new bosses will be !
    I can't think of who got right with S & H . .

Has anyone considered Sammy McIlroy as the next manager?

After a fantastic season our expectations for next season are higher, lets hope DN can pull one out of the hat again
and deliver the title or playoffs at least.
Alfreton spent two seasons in the playoffs before going on to win the league,so if we mirror this i would take it today.
Jason and Canners did an excellent job ,my only concern is the lack of experience and do they have the contacts to rebuild a promotion side?
I can understand the desire to keep most of the players with the strong bond they have for each other,i think Jason and Canners would hold onto 75% of the squad, whether a new manager would, is a different matter, history shows they like to bring in players for a certain style of play and who they think will perform for them. So apart from a few i would expect the rest to leave by choice or by design.
No matter what i shall renew my season ticket and support whoever.

Why does he need to be near Ireland? Personally I don't think he would move out here. He has proved he can get teams up from the Conference National but maybe the Conf North is a different matter.
