Alright, today was not in the same class as Tuesday's epic against Alfreton.

What wound me up was from very early on, certain fans( I use the term loosely ) got on the players backs.

We all have a moan and if you pay your money this entitles you to do so.

What I object to is the non stop bemoaning of certain players, can they not see that the more you moan the more pressure you put on them.

I have posted before about a certain man, whos voice has more decibels than my missus snoring after drinking half a bottle of cheap plonk.  He was at it today from the first minute.  All the way through the first half his big mouth was heard above everyone.  Moan moan and bloody moan.  Second half he was a changed man, you could hear a pin drop.

A little bird tells me he received a right ear bashing from one of our managers,  I also heard he was told his head was the shape of a male reproductive organ, by said manager.

He should have been told many matches back, because this season he alone as knocked the confidence of several players, with his very loud ranting.

Get behind the team not against them.

I also thought the Townenders had gone home, it was not until we got one back did they get behind the team.

Come on lets make that extra man, we need it in the run up.

Sleath and Church are a package.  What they do works cos they are both in there. Poor old Sleathy gets the rough end of the stick, but Church is 1/2 the player he should be when his partner in crime isn't alongside.

I don't get what they do sometimes, but without the two of them we don't get a foothold in some games.  Today Sleath had a bad game and Church carried him.  Next week it may be the other way round.

Harrogate got their tactics spot on and worked us where it hurt.  The job they did on Pearson at set plays was top draw (if a little dirty tricks)
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Sleath has been fantastic for us along with Cannovile, Pearson, Church etc for nearly two seasons now. The monaers take it way too far at times and need to shut up or f**k off. All this at a time when we are up there with a chance of ANOTHER promotion with young, ambitious AND talented players, a small budget, level headed chairman and TWO miracle working managers.

Sounds to me that these Sleath critics have a memory problem Bob . I even older than you Bob but I can recall the 68th minute of the Alfreton game !!!

As this topic is one that keeps returning may i make a suggestion.
I'm guessing The Moaners probably number about 20 or so?
Is it possible that groundstaff could identify them and move them to a designated "Moaning" section of the ground?
This way they could be together and argue amongst each other about various players and not annoy the rest of us.
This may stop them shouting their inane and unwelcome comments to players who are doing their best.
Would the Main Stand near the Town be ok? Its usually fairly empty.
Its also a good distance from the Dug Outs :)

(didnt think Matt Bloomer got as much stick as an away player as he did a home player! Although Gary King did!)

Danny Sleath had a mare yesterday, but he's been back to his old self since he got back in the team.  The Sleath-Church partnership is as crucial to us as the Pearson-Murphy one earlier in the season.

Sleath looked so far off the pace, I did wonder if he was carrying a knock.  Not like him at all.

And yet again Yatesy is scapegoat for a poor team performance.  Thought he did OK first half - better than most.  Can't understand why the managers seem to have such a downer on him - has he said something out of turn?  (or again, is he carrying an injury we don't know about?)  I'd rather see him start regularly instead of Semple, as I think Semple is better as an impact sub.

Lets be honest here shall we. Everyone gets p####d off when things don't go to plan, i bet S&H were none to happy about the first half. We huffed and puffed and managed in the end to knock a couple in. So we played poorly, are we the first team to do that? No,  Manure had a sh#te game and scored in the last minute. I bet some moaning Mancs, 'which most don't live anywhere near Manchester' were none to happy either. Of course we would like to see free flowing football, sometimes we get that. Harrogate had a game plan, stop Boston playing and that's what they did. Do people really believe that the players set out to have a poor game, to make poor passes, to head it to the opposition?  Hell, i've heard people moan at them for having the wrong coloured boots on!  Picture this, two Boston players in the dressing room. I'm going to have a sh##e today mate, i'll give those moaning feckers something to moan about. I'll make loads of miss placed passes, just so they can shout at me. Yeah, right!

Bloomer got his fair share at the away match,  was getting quite a lot from the townend when we were attacking that way, but annoyingly he had a decent game and put himself about.

Some questions for you Bob:

1] Did you tell the moaner to shut up or did you think the best course of action would be to come on here and moan about it?

2] Did you try to start any chants or generate any sort of atmosphere yourself?
