I agree, It was easily our best all round home performance. Loved the way we defended right from up front to the back. Everybody gave it 100% and it will be dificult to change that starting line up.

Green was quality, yes I agree. Glad to see Jelleyman back at left back and as solid as ever. Boyes impresses me more and more and I can't be bothered mentioning how good Pearson is at this level any more.......

2 things did stand out today apart from the football, The words no substitute for experience. Austin was fantastic and likewise for there grey haired defender who cut out a lot of our forward ball. Also we talk week in and week out about refs etc wich on all accounts i thought they did okay today, just couldnt work out how the lino looking strait down the line didnt see us take the ball a good foot over the line near the dugout.

shame we didn't in the middle Church shocking yet again.

 :-\

The game was very stretched and Sl-urch had a hell of a lot of ground to cover.  Didn't see a lot wrong with what either did.

What I like about Boyes is that he wins the ball back in an advanced area, either in the corners or on the edge of the box. That, and his technique is really good.
First noticed Boyes doing this at Workington, seems to have the physical presence and works his nuts off to do this. Boyes or Green for MOTM but they all played well. Hunter played really well and should of done enough to keep his place IMO, SWD looked uncharacteristically off the pace, presume he must still be carrying an injury.

First 15 mins today we gave them far too much space to pass the ball but once we started pressing them all over the field especially the front 2 there only ever looked like 1 winner.

Must agree with Bostonshire ref was good today, let the game flow and didn't blow up for petty stuff other refs might have. I'm sure their fans will disagree though with them ending with 9 players although it was their own fault. The player that got himself injured was going into challenges like a lunatic when he felt aggrieved they didn't get a free kick when number 7 went down (again) but ended up injuring himself. Number 7 can have no complaints defo yellow for both his challenges.

Same thoughts on the red, Both was yellows and as everyone can tell 2 yellows make a red. it was a cracking game and we looked somewhere near we was earlier in the season. Miles needs to start more games althou is touch and finishing is not in the same league as SWD there defence was F****D in the second half after chassing him round for 45 min.

Agree with you bostonshire, You could see that the two mentioned players were from a higher league, I think their no 4 is on loan from Barrow, BSPL, our Kevin Austin on loan from Darlington, BSPL, both had an outstanding game for their teams, Any chance of signing Kevin Austin until the end of season, he was my MOTM yesterday. An Exellent 3 points gained yesterday.

Wasn't his first yellow for kicking the ball at the ref.....something Ray Wilkins got a straight red for in the World Cup!  His team mate was equally accurate with the throw!

One of em got booked for kicking the ball at the ref, not sure if it was him or not.

Yep you're correct, I must of got the players mixed up as another of their players had just committed gbh on Green I think it was and got booked at the same time. Either that or I'm cracking up which is probably more likely...

Reading Green's interview on the OS he his career has been at a standstill in the last few months at Rotherham, if he wanted to come to Boston full time it would be a great signing and on Saturday's performance he would certainly be good enough for the conference premier if we get promoted

not a particurlarly scientific way of examining  the quality of Saturdays game but how many times did the ball get hoofed out the ground?

(rhetorical questions - whats the point?)

Have to say we always have a sweep on how many will go out of te ground and scince he who must not be named left the number leaving he ground has gone down a lot.  You used to be safe with a 6-8 estimate now I'd more often go with a 3-5
