Shane Clarke to the MLS?
« on: February 12, 2011, 06:25:45 PM »
Scotty Dalton and Craig Singleton have both tweeted that he is going on trial to an unnamed MLS team.

Having watched both Boston and the MLS, it seems like they are miles apart in terms of quality - with Teemu Tanio - former Spurs player on trail at the same time, surely an MLS manager wouldn't take a chance on Clarke? Especially with severe restrictions on over 21 and international players?

Thoughts?

If thats the case I would not be surprised to see players coming in before the end of March

With Simon Ashton leaving the club this weekend as well if all these players leaving are right that leaves us 16 players, 17 if you include Harry Deane who's a bit of a fringe player. With Murphy out and Jelly and SWD both taking knocks that leaves us with potentially 13 players for Tuesday with only 3 defenders...think the managers will be earning their corn in the next few days bringing in the 2 or 3 players needed.

I would imagine that 7 day approaches were put in for a few players after the Worcester game. Midfielder and striker?

With everyone wanting Hunter to get a run, I'm not sure another striker is needed as they may only be fringe.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

I dont think striker is a problem to be fair, Boyes and SWD looked sharp up front, Just snuffed out by what i think all will agree was the best defence we had come up against. Always back in numbers and well drilled.
