Have to say he does sound a good signing with a half decent cv if he was even offered a trial at man u.

Hopefully will prove to be a good signing. I have been concerned about our lack of goals - lets hope he can take the pressure off SWD a bit.

Might turn out to be a useful signing but I wouldn't hold out too much hope initially - he's scored two goals in his whole career so far!

Two league goals, and whilst I agree that  he has not been prolific yet, he has been playing at a higher level than we are playing at present, presumably against better defenders.

Good signing imo, while I'm sad to see Suarez go, I think Boyes is the kind of signing we need. Played at a higher level - perfect.

Thought a centre back might've been on the cards though. Anyone heard anything concerning that?

Way some of our players are played out of position he could possibly end as a central defender ;D

Had a read up on Boyes and seems to be all good reading but we will see; good signing in my opinion; securing youth and not looking at older players in their last years. A centre back would be a good signing however I do think Ashton deserves his chance to really prove himself.

Michael Wood is back in town playing for Boston Town could be a possibility in the short term.

Woody back in town; I'd welcome him back and could do a job for us.
