I think you will find Morrisons will soon take up residence closer to Asdas old store shortly.

They will - Morrisons are buying a number of Netto stores nationally at the moment, and the Boston store is one of them.

I thought it was ASDA that had bought out Netto???

If Asda have bought netto then monopolies will probably make them sell
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

"Approval came after the Office Of Fair Trading (OFT) overruled an objection by the Association Of Convenience Stores to a £778-million takeover of the 194-strong Netto chain.

An Asda spokeswoman said the OFT had confirmed the company could retain 147 stores"

Looks like they got them all but 47.

The stores asda cannot have, will be sold to others I believe morrisons are getting 15.
It will be interesting to see what the Boston morrisons will look like. They dont have small store formats at the moment, neither do asda their previous attempt was a flop.

Small stores are the supermarkets new battle ground. Hence why Mills stores of which there are several in Boston have been bought by One Stop, which is actually Tesco.

Asda wont allow boston to have two stores as boston is not big enough plus netto dont own the boston store so they wont be to bothered   :P

Asda wouldn't be allowed to have two stores under competition commission guidelines that's why they have to sell, and why morrisons are picking up 16, not 15 as I had thought.
