For me Martin Hardy was one of the best, but I think Dick Bates was better!!

Ellender was quality in his first few seasons with us when played at the back.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

In only his second season he was put up front by Thompson creating the Daryl Clare fiasco.

Dave "Dusty" Miller 1954-59. The non-league Billy Wright. With Don Hazeldene and Tommy Lowder alongside, their motto was "They shall not pass." Men's men in a man's game.

Don't worry BP it doesn't show your age, however, I have admin rights on the forum so I can see how old! I would comment, but it was also my YOUNGER brothers birthday yesterday and he is 10 years older than you so how old does that make me!!  :o

"Tex" Hardy was my all-time favourite Boston United Player - I go back to the late 70's with my support of BUFC, and seen some good one's, but Martin Hardy is without doubt one the BUFC greats.

I know he is more of a Linscum man now but Steve Geronemo Thompson was a class act.  His run in with King of Altringham (every match) was legendry.

Sky presenter Laurie Madden was a class above his team mates of the time(in my opinion.)

Going back to Dave Adamson for a minute, remember one game we got a free kick just inside our half and to the left of the centre circle,Dave took it and it sailed into the net,the ref made him take it again for some reason. So,Dave did exactly the same as he did first time :D .. David Beckham? pah David Adamson :D

22 League games in 12 weeks from 8th Feb! All credit to them if they manage to take the title under these circumstances.

Dave Adamsons fantastic free kick, was that against Maidstone United where Paul Bartlett scored another from a similar distance?
