The Ashes
« on: December 29, 2010, 08:03:05 AM »
Given that it hasn't been mentioned yet, I'd like to congratulate the England team on humiliating the Aussies in their own back yard.

Happy times.

Who stayed up for it?

I was listening, brilliant effort from the lads.

Now to humiliate them a bit more by winning the Ashes instead of just retaining them!

I stayed up to watch, as I have done all test match.

This was a true thrashing, make no mistake. Would love to win the Series 3-1, but would take 2-1.

C'mon England.

These are happy days to be an Englishman in Australia. One of the things Aussies just can't stand is defeat. It is not part of their culture. So you can imagine how this latest debacle has gone 'down-under'! There is no doubt that their team is going through a transition period with no replacements for the likes of Warne, Gilchrist, Lee and McGrath. Apart from Perth we have completely outplayed them in every department of the game. I sincerely hope that we can go to Sydney and make it 3-1 which would be a fitting scoreline for the Series.
