I say have a Premier League, Championship, FL North/FL South, Conference North/South, then 2 feeders each into North/South, and so on...

Then rename them Div 1, Div 2, Div 3 South, Div 3 North, etc.
Hang about! Isn't this where I came in 60 years ago?

Great. I can wear my old cloth cap again and bring the whippet for company.

Doesnt seem right for me, we wont be able to gain promotion to the Football League anyway, because of our ground situation.

Just stick to what we can afford.

Surely there could be other ways of getting round that. Best not to get too far ahead of ourselves here though, we're not even out the BSN North yet, long way to go.

Makes interesting reading this debate. Some want to remain in the non league and part time while someone wants to change the whole of English football to suit BUFC.
We suffered and almost went bust but the fact is that there is money in most clubs and it's not used correctly. We sold players for many years and did not pay massive wages. Where did our money go? From Gary Ford through to Jon Greening/Nick Culkin we have had enough money to keep us going without anyone turning up to watch.
You will get a bit more money for being in the Conf Prem with a later start in the FATrophy/Cup meaning a better bank balance.
We want to be back in the Football League and so should you.
Why? Because you have people who won't let the finances get out of control.
That was your big problem last time and how many more are out there?
Both Histon and Kidder are having to answer some questions.
I don't think the problem is part time or full time it's with how the club is run.
But to compete at the highest level you need to be full time and realistic!!

This as made interesting reading and there's been some very good points. I'm not sure where i stand on this subject but i do know one thing. That is, Mr Newton and others have not worked hard rescuing this club to see it get in a mess again. I'll leave it to the experts that are already running the club and let them decide.

Woah there! That wasn't the idea at all - look at all the clubs in financial problems that are full time (Stockport, Darlington, Southend, etc). It would suit them as well - it wasn't a wholly selfish idea!

tbh i cant help thinking as good as another promotion would be,to get it this season just might be a season to soon.i think if we were having this debate next xmas we would be aware of the clubs definite plans for our new ground which is pretty much essential for us to proceed.the club has come on in leaps and bounds since the day the chesnuts gave us a new lease of life. to push on and get us in financial trouble again by being in to much of a hurry would be mad and i dont think it will happen because the board just wont let it.
