Tony Adams on BUFC
« on: December 11, 2010, 06:24:41 AM »
'If anything Wycombe was worse. I had Boston United fans banging on the dugout screaming, "Adams, you're rubbish, go back to where you came from". At the big clubs, you get the bus in, you disappear underneath the stadium and you're on four times the salary.'

From an interesting Daily mail article about Tony Adams and how he's now coaching in Azerbaijan...

That Wycombe team was class, and he turned them into whipping boys.  The fans behind the dugout were right for once.  What does managing a team with 100x the money of the rest of the league tell us about him really? Much like Evans, he needs players from a level above to meet the level he is at, I.e. He is rubbish.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.
