Just been looking at the flat cap wearing, illiterate types official site. Looks like they get at least 2000 fans on a Saturday. That's a nice cut for us whether we win or not. Does anyone know the actual break down of the gate money for each club in percentage terms ? Do you F.A also take a cut from the gate as well ?

Doubt the Trophy will get such a big gate, but they are still a decent sized club.

Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Should be a good game and those who travel will make a noise???
Although S & H say you don't know how to make any noise!!
Calling us illiterate is not very nice and the waving of tenners???
Maybe we will have to wave brown envelopes!!!!!!!
Anyway, it should be a good game and we are looking forward to it.

Don't think there will be any tenner waving (just a bit of banter) we know how close we came to being ruined so let's hope for a great game and some good banter on the day.

Tongue in cheek remark to allegations that still do the rounds of Boston fans waving money at a struggling York back in 2002 or 3

I think you will have been to many grounds without a roof and from what I can gather you are always heard.
But at home with a roof you are a little quiet!!

We've got a bigger game at Darlington (no disrespect intended) on Saturday but a lot more to lose aganst you!!

The pubs close by sell good beer but they may restrict entry.
Good car parks not too far from the ground but they do sometimes fill up early in the day.
Better bet is to use the park and ride which is easier than trying to get through York on Sat lunch time.
It is also expensive to park in York and you will get a ticket if you try to be clever ie. Sat afternoon in the carpark.
Even better, travel by train and drink as much as you like!!!!!!!

See you on the 11th, weather permitting!!

Trains from Boston, to a football match? Are you mad? This poor kid is still waiting to catch a train to the 1949 cup final.

A great win for us in the FACup. I thought it might be off but glad it wasn't!!
Hoping for a big team and lots of money or a good chance to progress to the next round.
Not a small team with no fans as we still need the money.

I know there are a couple of games to play before we play but the prices for the trophy are: standing £10, £5 for cons and £2 U16. Seats are £13, £7 & £5. And before you ask these are reduced prices!!

for those wishing to use the park and ride, the best time to get to them would be by 9am. after that they are likely to be full. the best chance of getting a space is at the hull road p&r (a1079) or the designer outlet p&r (a19 south of york). the later would be better as there are over 2000 spaces and buses run every 10 mins. also a chance to do some shopping, eating or ice skating. the buses drops off in the city center, then about a mile walk to the footy ground.
