FA Trophy Draw

York City away!

Local(ish), and we'll go with nothing to lose... should take a fair few fans I reckon!

Hopefully, the toilets have improved...

I've deleted my thread as we posted at the same time.

York away. New ground for me and the away I was hoping for (either there or Grimsby). Now where's my wallet need to find a £5 note  ;)

Ha, if they do I'm on board!

I had exactly the same thought.

Sounds more glamourous than it is. God awful away end, city centre that hates cars and I must find a tenner or two to wave at them as they love that!

Winable game though.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Gettng into York two weeks before Christmas will probably be a bit like trying to get into Lincoln when the Christmas market is on, so from that point of view not the best draw.

The new boys should have settled in by then, and hopefully DD and Mikel will be match fit.  It's a game we can win, but I'd rather get 6 points from the Worcester and Hyde games either side of it.

I'm really looking forward to it, glamerous or not. The way their fans hold a grudge and really hate us is going to make for a tasty encounter. Looks like there's huge potential to wind them up as well, both on-line and on the day ;)

Agree though a winnable tie as they're in the bottom half of conference.

We've got a Notts derby, Stags at home! Great draw as far as I'm concerned, although I'm not sure how Cannon Park will cope with the fixture, it will be interesting!  ;)

Maybe, maybe not  ;)

Not decided yet, they're so easy to wind up.  :D

Just been looking at the flat cap wearing, illiterate types official site. Looks like they get at least 2000 fans on a Saturday. That's a nice cut for us whether we win or not. Does anyone know the actual break down of the gate money for each club in percentage terms ? Do you F.A also take a cut from the gate as well ?

45% each with 10% for the FA I think. That's after various costs of the home side putting the game on are taken into account, as well as our transport I think.
