I've been looking around for 20/1 or even 25/1 and I was going to have a little interest for the season.

Best prices so far have been skybet that were 16/1 us, but are now 12/1.

Corals are 16/1 and this could be the best we get.

If we get a result on Saturday against Gainsborough I would expect the 16/1 to go and we will be about 12/1.

Lincs Racing (Boston Sponsor) in Boston follow Corals prices so I would expect them to be 16/1.

I probably won't waste my money this year, just spend it on beer instead.

Even at 10/1 it could be a good price to get a bet on at if we hit the ground running once the first ball is kicked in anger.

After the first half dozen games everyone will have a better idea of who is likely to do what in the coming season and the odds are quickly going to represent that.

As things down the street start to take shape it is looking like a shrewd move by the Chestnuts to plump for our new management duo, although early days yet, and I am thinking the odds offered at the moment are certainly worth a punt.

Corbett have updated their title odds for the forthcoming season:

Kings Lynn 4/1
Bradford Park Avenue 11/2
Burscough 13/2
Guiseley 7/1
Fc United 9/1
Nantwich Town 10/1
Boston United 10/1
Kendal Town 11/1
Durham City 14/1
Marine 14/1
Hucknall Town 14/1
Retford Utd 14/1
Buxton 25/1
Stocksbridge Park Steel 25/1
Ashton Utd 25/1
Worksop Town 33/1
Matlock Town 33/1
Frickley Athletic 33/1
North Ferriby United 40/1
Ossett Town 50/1

Whilst the percentage is now around 160% it's still a liberty, rather suggesting that a lot is guess work and that the compilers dont really have enough information to round it down to about 115/120% which is what most greyhound races are for example

4/1 KL is still farcial, the murmourings of discontent coming from Suffolk which suggest the manager is really struggling with the quality of his signings, not to mention his attitude to those he has in my eyes would push KL out to about 8/1.
This would still put them among the fav's which they undoubtedly are but it would be certainly more realistic

I know there is a credit crunch but I didn't realise that it had squeesed KL into Suffolk

Would the odds shorten if we were to say... hammer Big Keefs Hoofballs?

How much better does that make you think for the season will go. We play with 19 Keefball teams and Nantwich.  We'll only lose 2 games  ;D
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.
