Guiseley Tuesday.
« on: October 30, 2010, 08:57:12 PM »
Really looking forward to Tuesday, should be a cracker. To be honest, we like yourselfs are on a crest of a wave.We know its going to come to a halt sooner or later but we are enjoying it while it lasts. We are not in the same class as yourselfs ground or fan base wise but I certainly think player wise, we will give you a game.Pity its not a Saturday as im pretty sure you would have brought a massive following.Still even though its a midweek match, you'll no doubt bring plenty of fans.Fans who have been to Guiseley before will tell you, we are a friendly club with no segragation needed.Good luck in the league, after Tuesday of course. ;)

Does Fatty Burton still play for you?
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

I might have one seat left in my car.

However, we shall be leaving at about 3pm as we are going to Harry Ramsden's for fish and chips before the game.

PM me if interested.

Fortunately, only 3 of us went last night, as were were stuck in the dreaded traffic jam and only 1.3 miles from the M62 turnoff.

It was the lure of Harry Ramsdens that decreed we leave early (3.30pm) and that really cost us.  If we had been 10 mins earlier or later we would have escaped the jam, and we actually reached Guiseley at about 8.40pm. We dived into Ramsdens for a quick eat-in in their takeaway, drove back to the ground, and settled in some very wet seats at 9.10pm, so saw very little of the match.

However, after parking, we had to walk behind the roadside goal and who should be walking towards us, looking like like 2 drowned rats, but Rayner and fatmans delightful brother.

I understand they stood out in the rain all the time they were there, obviously not daring to share shelter with any Boston fans, so if it's any consolation, at least those two got a real good soaking!!!!!!!!!!!.
