Walked away from the game with no issue.  Our fans or theirs?
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Apparently it was with the Stalybridge fans in the away end. No one from Boston involved as far as I know. I seem to remember there being a few old school hoolie types in the away end when we played them in the BSN.

See the police talking to a couple of their fans late on in the second half, when I left ended up talking to a few of their fans and they all seemed sound although most of them where older I was talking to. Did see a police van heading back to the ground though as I was queuing in my car and also see some of their fans being escorted to their coach by stewards.

Posted on the Staylebridge site by the gur who does endeavour fm

Hi - hope you enjoyed the commentary and yes, I am afraid to say the goal was a keeper error. Stalybridge had a lot of possession but to be honest didn't look too dangerous in the final third.

The main talking point for you I would imagine will be what happened after the game and after the commentary finished. I have no idea what was said but there was a real fracas between (I think) a Boston steward and several Stalybridge fans. The upshot was that one fan was arrested and several more had heated verbal exchanges with the stewards/police. I would estimate 20 fans and probably 10 stewards were involved. I do hope everyone is OK and am certainly not blaming your fans without knowing the facts. By the way, your supporters were vocal throughout and a credit to your side, it's just a real shame that the game ended that way.
