Roadworks on the way to Hinckley
« on: August 14, 2010, 11:47:35 AM »

Have just driven back to Boston via Melton Mowbray and Grantham, which is the route I would imagine a lot of Boston fans taking on Monday night (16th August) to get to Hinckley. In Croxton Kerrial, which is a village on the main road A607 between Grantham and Melton, there is a sign "ROAD CLOSED HERE FOR RESURFACING - 10 DAYS FROM 16TH AUGUST."

No doubt there'll be a diversion in operation and, as the works haven't started yet, don't know how much of a difference this will make. But I thought I'd post something so that people can at least allow a bit of extra time for their journey or find an alternative route.

I'd get the road from Colsterworth to Melton and then onto Leicester, I've used it a lost in the last 2 months and it is quicker than the usual route. It brings you out in Melton at the cross roads.
