I'm glad Gazza turned up as oppose to Waddle or Southgate.
You wouldn't want them anywhere near a shootout!  :D

Perhaps warn his girlfriend and others of his state of mind.

Did I read that she was warned? and decided to go to her mothers?
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Just a thought as its been mentioned about waisting money, Between 14 to 10 days be4 you are released you are stood in front pf a panel. This is to determind your state of mind, health and any help you need to adjust to outside life. It was this where the warden past forward the information regarding is determind threats, the panel heard auth to take this up with the local plod etc, however they chose to ignore them. well if its going to be ignored isnt having the panal a waist of money, and also what the hell happened to the close monerting of prisoners after release.

I think the idea of close monitoring has never existed. The probation service etc are massively over stretched, and no level of close monitoring is going to be able to prevent someone from committing a serious crime if they are hell bent on seeking revenge or whatever.

A situation likely to get worse as cuts in public services get worse.

This is one case that becouse he had a agressive streak(depending wich family member you beleive) should have been watched for a week or 2, after that there cant be no come backs.

In theory maybe, in reality a 24 hour watch for 2 weeks for every offender exiting prison who may want to seek revenge ?

Just not feasible

Slightly different case as he had asked for help as mentioned in the inquest,

More to come out yet ......

Seeking help would not have been an instant remedy and unlikely to prevent what followed, besides as I understand he failed to keep appointments .......

I hadnt heard about the appointments, in the inquest it was told that they felt he was okay. ( The same as they said about my uncle 9 years ago. 3 days before he ended it).

Some bodies jugment isnt as good as it should be, lets not forget we are the once paying for these genuises to make these calls. and so many times not just in the 2 cases mentioned there way wronge.(just want to point out that althou i have sympathy for the guy in regards to not getting the help he wanted dead or alive the guy deserved to be punished one way or anuther)
