WHAT RECESSION ?
« on: June 30, 2010, 03:53:42 PM »
Crawley have signed Matt Tubbs for a reported fee of 75k,  also Jamie Cook .   Tubbs was reported to be on £1200 a week at Salisbury ,  Steve has now got five strikers on the books ,  not got my calculator handy but reading the claims made by Evans about each striker i think they are expected to get about 297 goals between them this season.

Albrighton? Wasn't he the player that should have retired after Fletcher took him to the cleaners at Bournmouth at the game that I never saw as I'm a real fan?  ;D

Yeah and this is one of the three teams that has the smallest budget in the Conference.   * (According to their manager). In this case players of the quality of Jamie Cook, Michael Kuipers and Matt Tubbs must have agreed to play for peanuts.

Revealed at press conferance today that Crawley have got far east backers , Evans is going to make more six-figure bids for players , there is no limit on his budget .  Reported they have enough money in the bank to run the club for next two years .

Saw that  about far east backers earlier today.Apparantly all debts have been paid in full.New signing Matt Tubbs seemingly signed for £70,000.On top of that he received £40,000 signing on fee and on wages of £1,000 per week.Last week Crawley had a bid of £100,000 turned down by Rushden for Lee Tomlin. This week it's rumoured Crawley will bid £200,000 for James Constable(Kidderminster?).Not bad for a club with less than 800 paying customers.Everything looks rosey in the Crawley garden-it must be true-Mr E*ans said so at a recent fans forum.

Crawley have signed Peterborough winger Sergio Torres on a two-year-deal for a fee believed to be around £100,000  :o

"The club, who recently cleared their £1m debt bill, have invested in eight players in the past month, including Rotherham United midfielder Pablo Mills and strikers Matt Tubbs, Craig McAllister and Jamie Cook."

Talking about his move to the Blue Square Bet Premier side, Torres added: "Steve Evans is very enthusiastic; my boss at Peterborough United, Gary Johnson, and some of the players there spoke very highly of him, I will certainly try my very best to justify the confidence he has shown in me." I wonder who wrote the last bit???
