place looked nice,  only thing missing was a beer in my hand. we gave up any hope of a drink b4 kick off and walked out after 20 mins of waiting to be served. bar wasnt even a quarter as full as on a match day. so the club lost out on at least 4 pints and a couple of cokes. sorry but coach and horses for me.

I am realibly informed that there is vacencies out for staff. so it should all be okay, i think they have hopes to have it fully staffed before the start of the season.

abuse  ???

banter yes but not abuse, end of day reading this comment put on their he should'nt of been in our end anway

Having lost a work based bet, I had to take one for the team, and stand in the Boston End last night. I was astonished at the vile language, hatred and general viciousness of their 'support'. You'd have though that last night's game was a league match, given the verbals flying around, mostly from kids, to my utter disbelief. The stewards on duty didn't do much to dampen the language at all. I think the club needs to take a look at their 'support'.

Maybe they should take a look at the police reports of the before and after match. before they start winging. althou i do respect that this was only around 15 to 20 youth from lincoln.

you got that pen uploaded yet

Technical problems. ::)  The transfer software for my phone has decided that the buttons on the 'Connection Wizard' should not respond.  I've tried reinstalling it (which was a job in itself) and installing other versions in case the CD was scratched, but it's probably my computer (mind you, it wouldn't even install on another one I tried).  I will try to upload it at the weekend when I will have access to a different PC.

What is more frustrating?  Supporting Boston United or computers?
1.Closed football season
2.Computers
3.Crawley winning
4.Supporting boston

Oh come on, a bit of verbals against our bitter rivals from the City, did they expect any less, Gary 'king King got it, Dene Crapper, West etc all got it when they played for us, let alone against us.

Sounds like he essentially played for a youth side against a local amateur side in a game which they lost.

Certainly feels very much like we are a fallback though if he doesn't get anything else sorted out with this and the comments on the Stamford forum a few weeks ago.

SOrry to be the odd one out, but i agree totally with this chap. I had a few games at the town end last year with my partner and son, and was disgusted with the behavior of our younger supporters. I mentioned it on the last forum and did get some support from other posters, but i stopped standing in the town end after that.

I wasnt there on wednesday so i cant comment on what happened, but my experience was seeing teenagers spittng at the goal keeper and spraying him with drinks and using vile offensive and inflamotory language in a deliberate attempt to rile and distract the keeper.

I also agree that the stewards found this acceptable and ignored it all walking past on several occasions and turning a blind eye. It was only the intervention of a copper that put some sort of stop to it.

Maybe im not the kind of person that Boston wants as a supporter, but i find such behavior totally unaceptable from any kind of persopn, young or old. In a social environment, spitting would be classed as assault and liable for criminal procedings, but apparently some consider it fair game at a football match.

Personaly i would prefer to see the supporters at the town end find these little shits and beat them to a pulp so as to teach them a lesson, rather than classifying it as "banter".

Hey ho, thats my 10 pence worth,

Maybe this Lincoln fan complaining about our fans forgot to mention that a copper had to escort several "lincoln fans" out the gate during the game. And that their fans were also giving us a good amount of verbal. Theres always two sides to every story but what would we honestly expect from a fan of gimps city.
Im sure the atmosphere will be less hostile at town on saturday lol

Well its nice to know there is a bit of action taken if it gets out of hand. I suppose after all it is the beautiful game n all, and everything of beauty has a wart hidden somewhere. If it was all bad we wouldnt go would we?
