There was a goalkeeper played for Emley against Boston a few years ago. I can't remember his name but I can picture his face. I'm sure he was also a wicket keeper for a County Cricket side though.

Jim Coombes-Aston Villa Goalkeeper/Worcestershire Cricketer.
Less famous,i suppose,i remember sometime in the 70's or 80's,we played Frome Town at York Street in the fF.A. Trophy and Somerset fast bowler Colin Dredge played up front for Frome.

Mickey Stewart - father of Alec Stewart - played for Surrey at Cricket and Charlton Athletic at Football
Mike Hellawell - played for Warwickshire at Cricket and Birmingham and the Posh at Football
Geoff Hurst - played for West Ham and England at Football and Essex at Cricket
