Yeah. Well done Ken. Hope I can run like you when I'm your age. Let us know how much you raised, always nice to know these things and it will give us a reason to raise a glass or two to your achievement.

Friends and family gave £439 before the run which I matched myself, so £878 has been raised directly + more than £200 in Gift Aid. It's all greatly appreciated by me, the Alzheimer's Research Trust and Terry Pratchett.

The fundraising page will be open for a few more weeks, so it's not too late to add a bit more to the total!

I've just got a new challenge in the post this morning. I'm a platelet donor and I have been sent a letter by the Blood Transfusion Service about the first ever Blood Run Yorkshire. Basically it's a sponsored 3km fun run on 29th August in Pontefract Park - but instead of getting friends to give money they want me to find 10 people to enrol as blood donors!

That should be interesting - is it easier to get blood or money out of people.  ;D
