Announced  today at the celebration event at YS that we have signed Sleaford Town hotshot Miles Hunter. According to the Sleaford Town site the 21 year old scored 46 goals in 37 matches in the UCL where STFC finished 9th last season.

Good goalscoring record.

Have any of the team from last season signed yet apart from Cannoville?

This could be a indication that one of our front 4 will not be signing or a indication that newsham will be remaining on the wing, The later one i hope

Also played for the successful Magnet Tavern FC Sunday team.

Could be Jamie Clarkes replacement.

A few diffeerent stories regarding that, some say he did but acording to himself we just didnt go bk to him after the 7 day thingy was up, possibly the 2nd could be true as we signed SWD while the 7 days was been served

Watched him a couple of times last season and have to say that if he comes off he will be the player we have been seeking with pace to spare. A big step up but with the coaching from our managers and the right attitude could be a good signing.

Miles Hunter wouldn't be a replacement for Davidson or Suarez. I can't see Newsham leaving as he wanted to join up with Scott and Hurst again last summer. The only worry wotuld be Weir Daley because of his obvious ability and would possibly want to go full time again although can't see Hunter being his replacement as would be too much as a gamble as a replacement for the main striker so hopefully he is another option up front and probably wouldn't cost too much coming from a team lower down the UCL.

By all counts he was watched by Lincoln and Notts County and also Gainsborough.  Obviously this doesn't guarantee quality but at 21 could be a very good prospect and possibly even make us some money!  Shaun Pearson certain;y turned out to be a good signing from lower league football.

I've heard from a source in Lincoln that Chris Hall might be available. Ex Burton Albion and Gainsboro so good experience and at 27 should be in his prime. Might be another worth a look - as a winger(if Weir Daly goes) or in midfield. Apparently born in Boston and now living in Lincoln - so a local lad.
