Maybe the best way to judge the managers is thus...

1 Go back the last 15 seasons and note down the  "flop" signings the manager of the time has made  each season.  ( A4 SHEET REQUIRED )

2  Take a postage stamp and write the poor signings these managers have made on the back of it .

I think it's good we have two target men in the team who are different types of players and not both big slow lumps who can only head the ball and do nothing else, it gives the managers another option.

Hi this was my first posting and thankyou for all your replys. Going back to the stats that are stated, It is a team game and the fact that DD has scored more goals in the same games played. DD has scored his goals as the team and service has got better, whilst MS strugled in those early days without the same service. However i wasnt moaning just my observations and my personal views prefering MS better skill on the pitch.

I saw Suarez score against Boston Town pre season and thought that he was a must for the team.
Nothing I have seen of him since has changed my mind. When he first started playing it became apparent that his level of strength and fitness were below the level required at this level of football but it became clear that hard work had sorted these problems and he is now very strong in possesion, and tackling back.
He is much better in defending set pieces than DD.
However with the general level of results achieved this season you have to believe that the management duo know best, and with the last few matches of the season upon us let there jugement guide us to the promised land of promotion.
