We may not be in a position to fight for a top 3 place, but the playoffs are still a genuine posibility. Well done lads.

Club Outraged over Player Behaviour
Published on October 15, 2011 by redditchutd   ·   No Comments
Following an incident on the pitch at today’s Chesham United match where Josh McKenzie hit the referee and as a result the match was abandoned, Redditch United Football Club took immediate action to deal with this isolated incident.  Within minutes of the incident the Club has canceled the players registration has stated that he will never play for the Club again.

“We pride ourselves on fair play and will not tolerate this kind of behaviour.  The team has worked very hard over the past few weeks and we will not let this one individual tarnish the reputation of our much loved Club.”

Could be a decent signing.

If Austin and White are paired at Harrogate it could be a nine goal match again  ,  with the goals more evenly devided.

What a highly accurate prediction!

Duds has been doing us a big favour by playing for us-he has other commitments as keeps being stated- not the same as SWD at all.

Absolutely!

If Dudfield was not playing for Boston he would not be looking for another club. He is playing because we need him and he is willimg to help, he in no way needs us.

Obviously a sad event.

Although this sounds like it happened before the game, it makes we wonder if there is an increased risk of such things during playoffs, cupfinals etc.

I think if we all we to wear heart monitors during crunch matches we might find they are potentially dangerous experiences.

We have what we have, and things will not change before the end of the seaon.

Perhaps we should be discussing who is and who is not good enough at some point mid May.

The B-Ark / Re: play off dates
« on: April 11, 2011, 12:20:48 PM »

I'm annoyed by this. Once dates have been published then (weather aside) they should not be subject to change. I recognised the likelihood of us being in the play-offs a few weeks ago and took the initiative of booking time off work for the original dates. If the dates are now changed, then I may struggle to move work commitments, particularly at short notice. Having missed only three matches home and away all season (all midweek, and all through work commitments), it will be disappointing if I have to add play-off matches to that list.

Surely the Conference should have recognised the clash with Champions League fixtures before the original dates were drawn up? And even if they didn't, hands up any true Boston fans who would decline a play-off fixture to watch a Champions League game on TV?

The footballing authorities should put supporters first for a change and leave the dates as they were.

Agree Leicester Pilgrim as I am in exactly the same position

Well Kings Lynn are 6 places above Boston Town I suppose.

After contacting the Conference re the resignations/poaching I received the following reply

Dear Mr *****,
The Conference is aware of these appointments but is not party to any contractual arrangements between Clubs and Managers.

I believe this is an employment matter between the Managers and their employer, and perhaps a civil matter which Boston United FC may chose to pursue.

The General Manager
The Football Conference

So it looks like the Conference is not going to get involved.

The main problem I think is that there are very clear and explicit FA rules relating to approaches made to players. The rules relating to managers do not seem to be specifically identified and detailed.

Therefore it will be law relating to contracts that is being followed up - this doesnot necessarily exclude action being taken by the FA.
