1,093 signatures so far. A long way off the 100,000 needed to be considered for debate in parliament. Without any serious publicity this campaign is already fizzling out, probably much to the delight of the politicians. I doubt it was ever really going to take off when you consider the aging population and their lack of computer access / knowhow.

Hold on there fella. That's a bit ageist. I am almost 80, have 2 laptops, smart phone and a tablet, entirely self taught and probably have a better knowledge of computing than you. Also a good number of my friends between 75 and 85 are also computer literate.  ::)

Pluses ?
The usual couple of pen shouts inc an early one  when a Leek  player appeared to acrobatically fist away the ball low down .
Farah and Felix played well-ok  as usual  , , but crossed to apparently barely competant , uninterested , and big enough central strikers .
They F &F need to be coached to man up and become box penetrating wide strikers .. like Dirk Kuyt for instance .
Midfield need to be no nonsense , age almost immaterial  .
The performance of the loanees today was poor .
And Dowie never got out of his hole ..I think he knows what to do but cannot do it .

So he did play in the hole, fatal mistake. He should have played in one of the channels. There he could have ploughed a lone furrow and kept to the straight and narrow. They are also not as deep as a hole and he could easily have jumped out if someone passed him one of them there square balls people keep on about. Mind you, they can be swine if you try and head them, one of those corners could have your eye out.  ::)

I'm still not convinced Carl. On the one hand as you say, you can't argue with his goals return thus far, certainly looks sharp given a sight of goal, but he could, should be contributing a lot more with his off the ball movement, closing defenders down, showing aggression in challenges and at least compete for headers, and his first touch needs improvement. With the lack of any pace he could be best suited to playing in the hole, assuming DG can find someone to play in front of him? But without any competition or alternative and knowing you're guaranteed to start every game because of it is hardly going to keep him or any other player on his toes is it

No wonder he lacks pace if he has to play in a hole, he will be exhausted climbing out every time the ball approaches him. Are there many of these holes in today's pitches?  ::)

Mr Genius says he is bewildered at yesterdays performance. Let me help him understand

1 -- the fans are bewildered also at 4 changes from a good draw in midweek.
we never seem to have the same team in consectutive games

2-- why get midfielders in on loan from better clubs and then not start them

3-- this league is very physical but we have a team of midgets.

4-- newsham and miller were excellent last year. neither has been effectively replaced.

5-- answer-simple--wrong team, wrong tactics, wrong manager

Agree with items 1/2/3.

4. Very difficult to find a pair of goalscorers like them even if you,ve got plenty of money to spend .

5. Who will do a better job as manager ?

There would appear to be several suitable candidates on this forum.

I have said for years that the problem is that there are too many rivers/ drains/ watercourses and the railway to cross (at least twice) and an LCC looney confirmed it last week on Look North. I also like the cut of Maxross's jib. Well said Sir.

On Look North last week they were debating The Boston Bypass.  Lincoln are getting a Bypass with a lower volume of traffic than Boston.  Seems fishy to me.

So are Grantham and Spalding. Why? Only the lunatics know.

I am still waiting for someone to explain how this "new road" will alleviate the traffic situation in Boston. How will taking traffic from a busy A16 on to an equally busy A52 and vice versa  help? After all, both roads finish up at the same roundabout. Is it a good idea to take a potentially busy road through a a large housing development?  In my opinion it is smoke and mirrors, pie in the sky, waffle and weasel words. I am not detracting from the development but using the "distributor" road as a solution to our traffic problems is ridiculous.
