Cotton at training tonight.
Pearson there looking very fit but no Canners.
A very energetic training session. Very much different to the Taylor sessions.
Bring on Saturday!!

Must agree with Deano. Church looks a quality player but I worry about his behaviour. Three match ban for violent play to start the season. Lucky not to get a booking in the Mac. game when the ref missed an incident off the ball. Cammy whisked him away quick to save a problem. Silly booking at the weekend apparently. We need him on the pitch not warming the seats in the stand serving bans.
Midfield looking a lot better now.

The B-Ark / MIDFIELD?
« on: July 22, 2009, 03:47:23 PM »
All this talk about keepers and strikers. What about midfield?????

Liam can obviously play there in a holding role but Milly is obviously still out and Kirk doubtful. That just leaves Cammy now we have let the other trialist go.

I know we have not needed a midfield in recent years but thought we were going to play a bit this year.

What is the secrecy about "trialist". We all know it is Danny Sleath. Looked good so far. Lets get him signed up.

Upward and onwards. ;)

Seven players signed, one in plaster, and training starts in six days up at the camp. Looks like Cranwell Pilgrim will have to wander up to the camp sportsfield with his boots to make up the numbers. Scored a brilliant goal for Park Board Juniors against Saint Thomas School in 1960. Floated it in from the left wing!!
Seenbetter ought to come and bring his boots too. He was always the star in the 22 a side games at "the pit" off Frieston Road in his day. Again, early sixties!!!

Perhaps the new management team are listening to the fans after all. Cannot imagine what they were thinking of even considering Bloomers.

At the end of the day the vast majority did not deserve to stay. We must trust the new management team to bring in their own men and play how they want to play to get us out of this league.
What I cannot understand is that they are still in discussion with Bloomer. He would be at the top of my list as he was responsible for many of the goals scored against us this year.
