My dear old Mum used to say to me, don't get into bed with strange bed mates, you do not know who you are sleeping with,  Well I think my mum should have spoken to a lot of the football clubs owners, and fans of these clubs, who were very glad to jump into bed with their foreign owners.

Surely the only answer to all these clubs struggling to pay their bills, do what companies do, cut the wage bill, how can footballers continue to be paid excessive wages like they are,  As posters have said before on Pilgrims Patter, and many other forums, There should be a wage cap in every league in the country, When we have footballers earning more money a week than most ordinary workers earn in five or ten years, there as to be something seriously wrong,   You try telling this to the Premier League bosses, and they laugh at you, and say if they were to cut their wage bills they would not be able to attract the star players, maybe they would if all clubs were to have the same wage structure, which is, we do not pay more than we can afford.

I should think the reason why Gareth Davies did not get slated on here, is because most fans of BUFC where so delighted by their teams fightback,  after losing a player for a childish back elbow towards the Buxton player, which did not even connect with the intended victim, but which the referee saw, and rightly sent him off for violent conduct ,  A player of G Ds  experience should know and act much more professionally than what he did, Money is tight at BUFC,  we cannot afford to pay players to sit in the stands, because they have'nt got the brains to not get wound up by the opposition players, and naffing useless officials, this is part and parcel of this league, It was the same when we were in the Northern Premier League, the management and team we had then overcame these problems, If I remember right, I think it was 51 games unbeaten we went in that league,    I'm sure S & H will sort Mr Davies and Mr Hayes out,   Well done to the ten men and subs who came on, you did us proud on saturday against Buxton, show this kind of spirit in the remaining league matches, and you will make the opposition very very nervy, the play-offs are within your grasp.  Goodluck lads.

The B-Ark / Scott and Hurst
« on: February 01, 2010, 06:30:28 PM »

I have just viewed the video of Rob Scotts thoughts about saturdays match, Kendal Town 1  Boston Utd 0,   Boy how refreshing it is to have a manager who speaks his mind to the media, No excuses for the loss, Just straight forward talking of why the team lost the match, previous managers we have had , would have been calling the referee all the names under the sun, Just think what Radio Lincs sporting Horton and know-all Steve Thompson would be saying, if the incident of the disallowed goal had happened in a Lincoln City game,  Well done Rob Scott and Paul Hurst for what you have done for our team this year, I'm sure you will get the team right for the run up to the end of the season, the play-offs are within our reach, Keep up the good work, in S & H we trust.
