Didn't oldrids also sponsor the club during this period? Mr. Pot, please meet Mr. Kettle

Checked the old book of face this morning and in amongst all the football bets was the below comment...

Obviously with us being mentioned it jumped out,  the same user later added...

Now I'd not normally think much of it but low and behold what does the game end as.... 2-1 and I'm £50 better off.

I can't find the other mention of the bet from that site, but I'm fairly certain I read it as 1-0 Guiseley halftime, 2-1 Guiseley full time too.

I'm not sure I buy all this fixing nonsense, I placed the bet as that is what I thought the score would be myself.

York street is the 7th lowest football ground at 18 feet in England. Number 1 is Blundell park at 2 feet, the highest is the Hawthorns at 552 feet.

Check the grassy knoll and the chips and curry  :bunny

Surey the lowest ground has to be Gloucester City's Meadow Park at -6ft  :bunny :dan

Disabled access and ease of future development has to be kept in mind, but I think if the smaller stands were elevated (so that even the first row of terracing was elevated) then it would make the stadium look neater in terms of having stands of a similar height. It would also allow more space for advertising - with two rows of hoardings (as the Fantasy Island Stand has) as opposed to one. We don't want one stand dwarfing the others to the same extent as at Mansfield.

DN spent a good few minutes highlighting the thought gone into disabled access with elevated access in the main stand with full field of vision for all.

A new keeper has been seen training with Bufc

DG has to hedge his bets or risk the good start to the season

A couple of points to mention on this:

They will appeal against the decision and may be successful - they are continuing to fulfil their fixtures in the meantime.

They play in the Southern League Division 1 Central. I'm not sure how many leagues that is below us but would any of their players add value to our side ? They have only won one game this season in four matches, scoring two goals and conceding ten in the process.

DL

So basically you are saying we should be looking to snap up their back four?   :dan

Just read this.

You could not make this art up if you tried. its a true masterpeice.....

hi all having spoke to the players we has a group will each pay £10 towards the running of the coach to Stockport next Saturday it should total up to about £200 of your costs,we are all hurting and really want to put things right and your support as been fantastic although the results have not,we now put august to bed and start a new month with us all staying possitive, It may not sound a lot but hopefully it will help get a few more people on the bus and carry on your fantastic support as we all need to stick together at this time, enjoy the weekend the best you can and will see you at Stockport..........housh

If as a fan you can't be ar$ed to drive an hour or so from $hitboro without being bribed by your own manager witha few bus then things must be dire!

I think the next two games maybe harder than the first two, especially on Monday.

Both sides used to wining and getting promoted rather than two sides more used to loosing and getting relegated.

Monday will be tough due to the apparent spending power of Ferriby - but I agree there are positives there to be seen

Referees are generally shy of using yellow and red cards in pre-season friendlies. It's a shame, as at the end of the day this is still a game of football and bookings are part and parcel of the game. Maybe there ought to be a way of allowing referees to officiate pre-season games by the letter of the law, but without any bookings picked up then necessarily counting towards the season proper?

Normally the ref will ask for a player to be substituted for such offences, today's ref daren't ask!

Continuing the theme of the released players joining clubs at lower levels, Phil Watt has signed for Coalville Town.

Cracking player that lad, best centrehalf we've had sine bloomer
