Bunga did a tackle in the second half that looked dreadful from the other end of the pitch - he got a yellow but probably would have been a red in a proper game.

And as Pete B says, you can't complain about the result, they missed a couple of decent chances and Crook did a good save, whereas aside from the goal their keeper just had to make routine stops. He did drop a couple of corners but we didn't capitalise on the loose ball.

I'm not sure I'll be watching too many of last night's players come August.

Yes Andy, given the city has the oldest club, oldest ground and oldest club called United, Sheffield doesn't make much of its football heritage - just a few signs as you enter the city and Home of football walking tour app that isn't that well publicised...

Yes N40s I was as Hallam on Saturday (its 15 minutes walk from my house). It is a lot busier this season than it has been in the past perhaps because they are doing so well. The forwards are clinical in front of goal and I assume teams from higher up are looking at Iren Wilson, the centre forward...

And also prospective managers might not want to come in January if they feel they are likely to be judged on someone else's signings, with limited opportunity to change the playing staff round.
