The bookies have Remain to win easily at the moment. I suspect it'll be tighter than their odds suggest but at the last election they were more reliable than the pollsters.......

This article might explain why I think the bookies have it wrong for once, I expect a overwhelming out vote on a turnout of over 70%

The B-Ark / Stalybridge v Boston illegal betting patterns
« on: May 25, 2016, 10:09:22 AM »
Pleased to see the FA and Gambling Commission are looking in to the betting surrounding this match.

When this market was first formed Boston were put in at 5/4. By KO Boston were 8/15 if you could get on, and Stalybridge were 'any price'.

Somebody knew that Stalybridge were not going to win.

As a licensed bookmaker I was happy to lay Boston at 4/6 when they should be a 5/4 chance IMO but it didn't take long for me to realise something was a miss.

For the avoidance of doubt IMO this is a Stalybridge problem that BUFC have once again been caught up in. I can't see how BUFC have done anything wrong.

I hope DG will continue to give a couple of the Youth Team players an opportunity to sit on a full bench. Young Harry Vince and Kemal Yenibertiz would benefit from the experience as would any of our youngsters.

Wouldn't it make more sense to give the youth team players that have stepped up, shown the commitment and done it at 21's level (adult football) a chance to fill the last spot on the bench?
you got a bet on qwerty??

Excuse me querty, my friend, but our Youth team players also have commitment to BUFC! Stepping up? The Conference Youth League overall is a very good quality of football and properly organised. All the teams that play in it all have excellent coaching staff and play to a reasonable standard. Chance for an older player to fill the last spot on the bench? Of course I have nothing against an U-21 player being selected ahead of a Youth Team player, but I would think most of the U-21 team play for other clubs on a Saturday and are not uniquely registered to play for BUFC in the occasional U-21 game.

Anyhow, we shall see. Enjoy the game!

I think you misunderstood my original post.

I'm saying that the CURRENT youth team players that are ALSO already doing it on a regular basis for the 21's should maybe be considered in front of the current youth team players that have not yet stepped up and played 21's this season. Only common sense really unless I'm missing something?

Sorry for the confusion, that's why I rarely post on here now.

We won again today 2-1 at Peterborough after going 1 down. Well done all.

FA website says we lost 7-1... but it did say we'd won 2-1 earlier.

It's down as a 7-1 defeat on our own website now but I can assure you we won 2-1. No doubt this will be corrected in time.

Well done to Bunny and the lads for a excellent 4-0 win today at Tattershall Road v Bishop's Stortford Academy as a follow up to their 3-0 win on Monday. The team played as unit throughout with Kemal and 'Tino leading the line well. Also thought the Referee had a good game. Well worth popping down to Town's DWB Stadium for future Youth Team games if you get the chance!

Your posts on the Youth Team and the U21's are always read with interest. Please keep posting.

Our youth team play at Posh today - I believe Ryan Semple is on their coaching staff

We won again today 2-1 at Peterborough after going 1 down. Well done all.

The B-Ark / Re: Under 21s v Gainsborough Trinity on Wednesday evening

Do these games have proper officials - by that I mean a ref and 2 linos appointed or is it club linos?

These games do have proper officials in a proper structured league.

It's a small league so very few fixtures but all teams have been taking part in self arranged friendly's also, and at this very early stage it looks like Gainsborough are taking this more seriously than all other teams by fielding far stronger teams including first teamers etc.

Unless Dennis pulls a rabbit out of the hat and decides that a few more first teamers (along with Cameron Johnson) need a mid week run out for some reason, I feel tonights match could be very one sided in Gainsborough's favour.

Whatever the result it should be a good experience for the 16 year olds involved in our squad looking to the future.

Cons hold Boston.

Cons largest party but just short of a majority.

Cons/Lib coalition.

Neil Hamilton UKIP will stand and win the seat with a landslide majority.

I think they'll miss a trick if they don't open the car parking up for a weekday park and ride or use it as some sort of car share facility. Would reduce congestion going in to town and raise extra revenue.

The B-Ark / Skeletons to hold up the Quadrant.

Lincolnshire Heritage have descovered that Roman remains have been identified
within the proposed Quadrant site.

While not objecting to the planning application they are advising that a scheme of works be carried out before any construction can begin if planning is granted.
