The B-Ark / Anthony Church
« on: July 31, 2009, 10:06:35 AM »
Only 485 watching last night but what do we think of Church (number 4 last night).

I know it's very early and that was only 90mins on a warm July evening but......I thought he was class.

Last time I saw a player in a BUFC shirt that stood out like that for me I was watching a reserve match and the player in question was...........David Norris.

The B-Ark / Swine flu will disrupt the football season.
« on: July 14, 2009, 09:29:56 AM »
If people are found to be dying of swine flu and not underlying health issues do you think we could see a restriction on non essential travel until the government vacinate the whole country?

The government are going to vacinate the whole country but they will not have enough vacine to do this until next year.

During the foot and mouth out break the horse racing calendar was suspended. Is it possible that the football calendar could be suspended?

This shows how fast the virus is spreading:

http://flutracker.rhizalabs.com/

If you look at the Cumulative chart on this page you will see the amount of people that are infected has doubled in a month to 120,000. While not massive in itself it dosen't take a doctorate in maths to work out that this will be massive in six months.

How would this affect clubs of our size if the season was suspended in November and we had all our expenses to pay with no income?

Is their anything we can do to budget for this?

Have I really lost the plot this time?  :D

The B-Ark / Wimbledon

Just watched Murray steam roller Ferrero to go into the semis and the mainia is certainly starting now. It surprises me how many people that no nothing about tennis have become experts!!

Can he win the tournament? I say maybe.

Will he win the tournament? I say NO.

I'm sure he'll lose to Federer in the final.

The B-Ark / The Sports Bar or...........
« on: June 25, 2009, 12:54:46 PM »
......something different.

Had a sneak preview of the refurbished sports bar and this is going to be a bit special. Looks like they have spent more on the refurbish than what a new build would have cost!!!

I really think we should rename it when it's opened. THE SPORTS BAR sounds like some English beach bar in benidorm when really it's going to be more like a plush 19TH hole on a Portugese golf resort.

Heres a few names to get us going:

The Ernest Malkinson Suite. (maybe does not quite slip of the tounge!)

The Craig Singleton Lounge. ( he seems to be the new thing so lets name the bar after him  ;) )

Cookies Cave.

I'm sure if the club take the idea on there will be a prize for the winner. :)

The B-Ark / Two from four........
« on: May 24, 2009, 11:22:11 AM »
.....will today get relegated from the prem, which two. I think Middlesbrough need a miracle so they are gone, and even though I can see Sunderland being on the wrong end of a good old thrashing at home to Chelsea I think they are safe because I cannot see both Hull & Newcastle winning.

So we have one from two, Hull or Newcastle to fill the last relegation spot. Hull at home to a newly crowned hung-over champions who will have a bit more than one eye on a little match in Rome next week. I think Hull will get atleast a point today and maybe take all three.  I cannot see an injury struck Newcastle getting anything today at Villa Park, and even if they do they must get more than Hull.

With the future connection between BUFC Centre Of Exellence and the very good academy of Hull I think we all should today be if full support of Hull and cheer the Magpies on to the Championship.
