Looks like the proposed development is still a little short of investment.

The B-Ark / Stalybridge v Boston illegal betting patterns
« on: May 25, 2016, 10:09:22 AM »
Pleased to see the FA and Gambling Commission are looking in to the betting surrounding this match.

When this market was first formed Boston were put in at 5/4. By KO Boston were 8/15 if you could get on, and Stalybridge were 'any price'.

Somebody knew that Stalybridge were not going to win.

As a licensed bookmaker I was happy to lay Boston at 4/6 when they should be a 5/4 chance IMO but it didn't take long for me to realise something was a miss.

For the avoidance of doubt IMO this is a Stalybridge problem that BUFC have once again been caught up in. I can't see how BUFC have done anything wrong.

Lincolnshire Heritage have descovered that Roman remains have been identified
within the proposed Quadrant site.

While not objecting to the planning application they are advising that a scheme of works be carried out before any construction can begin if planning is granted.

Said it all...

England now 33/1 and I'd rather be a layer than a backer.

Does anyone else think our neighbours Spalding could have a very good run here, I wouldn't be surprised to see them win it.

The B-Ark / Pilgrim Cup 2013
« on: May 22, 2013, 09:29:23 AM »
Here's the clubs official review of the Pilgrim Cup 2013 held over last weekend at RAF Cranwell:

http://www.bostonunited.co.uk/news/pilgrim-cup-2013-review-954370.html

I would just like to second that this was a well organised event that is growing each year. It's the only opportunity during the season for Centre of Excellence/Academy sides to play for a trophy, as all league matches during the season are on a development non competitive basis. The Pilgrim Cup is turning in to the highlight of the season for a lot of teams.

I would also like to congratulate the Boston U14s squad on getting both teams in to the final against some very good opposition. Boston 'A' lifted the trophy (without conceding a goal all tournament) after a epic battle with local rivals Lincoln City in the Semi final, Cranwell came to a stand still to watch this game with Boston breaking the dead lock with two minutes to go and doubling the lead in injury time to run out 2-0 winners. In my ten years of following youth football I think this was the best team performance I've witnessed at any youth level.

Our U14s squad are very promising for the future.

Any local youth's that think they have what it takes and want a step up from local football might be interested in the Centre of Excellence open trials this weekend at RAF Cranwell:

The B-Ark / Bitcoin

Any chance of us being the first football club to accept Bitcoin payments for online purchases and season tickets for next year.

Lets be the first 'multi-currency' club.

Was to stand against Mark Simmonds MP for our seat at the next election
would he get your vote?

I think UKIP could win this seat with the right candidate.

Our Centre u13's took part in a tournament at Nottingham Forest Academy today.

While being watched by Nick Marshall (academy director) & Steve Coterill (first team manager)
we turned in a good performance to beat Lincoln City 1-0 then went on to defeat Nottingham Forest
Academy 1-0.

A good enjoyable afternoon. Keep up the hard work.

This is the man (brains) that worked with Evans, Stotnick and Co to put together various companies when involved with BUFC, Lavaflow and Boston Town ETC, he was/is more than an advisor to them being named as a director of various companies with them, and he also has or did have connections with Crawley Town.

While I cannot vouch for the information on the website being true it does make interesting reading for all.
