The B-Ark / Re: Let the King's Lynn fans in for free on Boxing Day

Yes Lady Ga, it shows that the mean spirited, money grabbing years are behind us, and we have now entered a more compassionate era...business-like compassion, of course  8)
There will always be the echoes of Evans' influence coming back to haunt us though  :'(

But, we weren't wound up.

Someones winding us up  :o
I reckon they should be let in, it will help out with the rehabilitation of our club's reputation after a few very dodgy years, and also, its just the right thing to do in this season of goodwill.
Imagine how bad it would feel if it was us, Xmas with no footy  >:(
Maybe they could also arrange a reduction for BUFC fans who are struggling financially, just as a one-off  :-\

The B-Ark / Re: OFF TOPIC: Population of Boston
« on: December 12, 2009, 12:44:53 AM »

As part of my job I've been to a presentation today where population changes since the 2001 census were discussed. Between 2001 and the present day, official statistics show that, of 400+ local authorities, Boston has the second fastest growing population across the whole of England and Wales. Only Hounslow is expanding at a faster rate.

Boston's population on 30th June 2008 (the most recent data available) was extimated at 61,000, an increase of 4.7% from the 2001 census.

Views?

The top five expanding areas in the country are listed as:

1. Hounslow
2. Boston
3. Southwark
4. Peterborough
5. Crawley

Strangely I happened to notice that a certain person has managed two of these, lived in one of the others and appeared at court in another. But has he ever been to Hounslow?

My view is that the population explosion that is happening across the world should be getting as much, if not more, attention than this global warming stuff.  >:(

Often see exposure in town!It seems the norm for some to spend a penny in public!
Also did that new Traffic Warden get you?Top bloke who is doing the job he is paid for!He is always smiling and reminds me of a character out of Balamorey ;)

Its a bit too cold to splash out in public tonight, could end up with frostbite on your bell-end  :o
Boston's homeless will be suffering tonight.

It was the NCP who got me. Mind you, we were a bit over the time limit.
Best Traffic Warden I know of works the streets of Putney...small black guy who hides in peoples front gardens in bushes trees etc before ticketing the unsuspecting motorist and then sprinting off and disappearing back into the foliage.
He smiles a lot too  ;D

Did they include a guess at the number of people living rough in and around Boston?
I parked in a town centre car park the other day and it felt like I'd just driven into somebody's front room   :-\
The missus wanted me to move the car as it didn't seem right. I moved it as I didn't want them using the bonnet as an ironing board...had a parking ticket when we got back  :o

The way its going around here there will be people suffering from exposure soon.

made it a bit more difficult for relocation by robbing the bank.

It could be that the 'Bank' is getting closer to becoming the land owner Sb

No, sorry for any offence there, the fact is though there are people out there who will expect them to keep up the handouts.

Yes the housing market is no longer a bottonless pit of cash, even for up to standard, funcional houses with  design awards.

The Malkies kept giving the handouts for years, I bet they wished they hadn't now  :o

« on: November 28, 2009, 01:18:03 AM »
I'll tell you why we didn't think of it.

Until the last season a sizable number of our fans thought Evans was the greatest living thing ever.........it took the total meltdown of the club and a brush with a stretch inside to make people realize what he was all about.

A nice tune, but getting slightly frayed around the edges  :-*

I watched the water rise in our house
The rain poured in and washed out our stuff
My father drank from beer bottles
Then he'd say
We'll walk on, walk on,
What's done, is done
Walk on Boston,
Never let this world drag you down

Its deja vu all over again
 :o

na na ayeeee
it ain't  ;D

Don't let it bring you down
Don't let your head drop down
Don't let the sun go down
Don't let your light go out
Don't let yourself fall down
Just pick yourself up from York street
And get up on your feet
  :o

A nice tune, but a little worn around the edges!

How about:

We'll walk on, walk on
What's done, is done
Walk on, Boston
Never let this world, drag you down.

Name that tune...
