has gone out on loan to that hotbed of football that is Buxton.

Great move Spence, well worth keeping your options open eh?

There was a topic already started on this subject, one that you had posted a response too. You moan about players not showing ambition but when a player tries to better himself you slag him off also.  ::)

Oh sorry for wasting your precious time.....

Telford a bigger club than us....?...do me a favour, in league terms yes, historically no.

Bettering himself? Financially almost certainly, and thats what its all about.

You've missed my point entirely. If SWD does get games for Telford this season he will play teams such as Wrexham, Cambridge United, Luton, Grimsby, Mansfield and Lincoln . This would be  better than Bishop Stortford, Colwyn Bay, Solihull Moors and Vauxhall Motors!!!!! Surely this is pitting himself against a better level of opposition. I'm just of the opinion that your bitter towards him. The easy option would of been to resign for Boston straight away, remember each season that passes the chances of rising up the leagues for an older player is very low.

History makes no odds in the 2011-2012 season. In this season Telford are in level 5 and Boston are level 6.

I've heard Arsenal have sensationally come in for Ryan Semple. Wenger has offered his back four but Jason Lee wasn't having any of it...!

The B-Ark / Re: Scotts rant at Grimsby fans

Why cant people leave Rob alone, Hes a great manager who is highly respected and is of at least Championship manager level.
Please dont sack him or drive him to resign, at least until we have got our compensation then you can do what you want with the gobby, nasty tw-t.

I wondered where you was going with that until I read the second sentence. I like !!! ;)
I might be in the minority here but I thought just as S&H left that there were running out of ideas at Boston and had started to lose confidence from a few of the players like Yates,SWD and Semple. The loan signing were not that good except Jamie Green but he wasn't brilliant every game. Darley, Robinson and Williams were poor and im sure there were a couple others. anyway we'll see with Grimsby but I for one cant say im sad see see them crash and burn. I don't particularly like Grimsby (Cleethorpes) as a town, I don't think their fans are that nice, the chairman (well you can guess what I think about him but I best not write ought as he reads the forums and websites quite Meticulously, and well S&H can do one )!

I'm really pleased for SWD. He played really well for us in the two seasons and also I think people have changed history abit with him to suit saying he didn't tear up any trees. He scored 14 goals in 40 odd games which is a 1in3 goal return which most strikers consider a decent return, he also put a shift in and IMO had the best first touch of the whole squad last year.

People are just bitter he didn't stay on. He was honest stating he wanted to better himself (ambition which you cant knock, Not one person knocked Pearson for doing the same thing!!!!) and after creating a decent platform to go back up the leagues with two decent seasons at Boston where both player and club benefited deserves the chance.

I think we could of got him back in the end (whilst in the crowd at Gainsboro and before Telford came in for him)but lets be honest IF he looked on Forums like this why Bother. I certainly prefer to see him have a go as aposed to player like Yates who have effectively give up in the efforts to have a full time career in football. Once again good luck SWD.

The B-Ark / Re: Boston United v Vauxhall Motors

I just wondered if a certain Boston player has finally left the pitch (Now Sunday afternoon) as he was in a different time zone yesterday. Until that player is out the side we will continue to play one man short, its like a disablity before we start. Worst Boston player ive seen since Shane Nicholson. Oh and dont say dont get at him as it'll do his confidence, its the start of the season man and if you have no confidence now then you never will. Funny old thing we won the first game.  >:( >:(  You have got to give yourself a chance and not start a game with basically 10 men!

The B-Ark / Boston United v Vauxhall Motors
« on: August 20, 2011, 05:16:46 PM »
I went to watch Boston on Tuesday night v Histon and was impressed and thought the side could only get better with only one player that stood out to be completely out of his depth. I thought first game of the season give him a change. Today we were absolute dros and said player shouldn't ever play for Boston United ever again. We did improve in the second half which wasnt difficult. I'm afraid on that performance we are back to the Tommy Taylor days. Kevin Austin MOTD, with a few others like Jellyman, Milne  slightly improving second half. Milly played o.k but overall hugely dissapointed and frustrated.  >:(

Maybe we should bring one back?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEXHeTcxQy4&ob=av2e

no no no no no no and no. music being played after anyone scores is bloody tacky as we found out on tuesday at gain$borough..... now what we need is an air-raid siren whenever we get a corner

I have heard that the club seriously considered the air raid sirens but then realised that upto 98% of the Spain Lane would get flash backs and think they were back in the 2nd world war and we dont want a load of old farts 'Going over' the advertising boards.

Is playing for Southport tonight .   Hope he gets offered a good deal.

I don't follow. Do you mean a good deal at Southport or with Boston?

Now then on the Stevens to Ipswich story I heard it was a spot on done and dusted deal but Evans threw a spanner in the works and wanted more cash out of the deal and then the deal fell through, a bit like Stevens progress since. I thought out of all the trailists he may of been the most likely to impress and get a contract.

Took off the link above from AjHallgarth I think!

“Shaun would be silly to go to any other club at this level,” Scott added.

“He’s a player that wants to learn and wants to improve, and he’s at a club that’s coaching him.

“If he wants to move anywhere then he should be moving up to a club at higher level.

He’s also under contract until the end of the season, so if anyone wants him they’ll have to wait until then.”[/b]

I love that last sentence quoted from Rob Scott. How ironic!!. I didnt realise he knew you should wait until your contract ends.  ;)
