The B-Ark / sportsmen

As someone who can disappointingly never get back for Sportsman Dinners on Thu nights I am always keen to hear how they went. Can anyone say how Ray Parlour was last night and how much the Nasri shirt went for please.

The B-Ark / articles for wider circulation
« on: January 31, 2011, 10:15:52 AM »
Some folk on here say forget the past. But I like the idea of making sure the that if the national press plan on doing 'plucky non League club' articles, they report the truth.
Here's a good one which perhaps should be circulated wider:

Perhaps we should circulate our own Boston fans press release?

The B-Ark / Sky's anchors
« on: January 24, 2011, 11:26:21 AM »
Would be interested to hear the views of Katie Cooper about the Sky broadcasters prior to the Wolves/Liverpool game. And how she has been treated whilst working in the game and running on the pitch. Just heard an interview with the Barnet physio who Barry Fry employed 20 odd yrs ago - I would hope attitudes have changed since.

The B-Ark / Stags

I see that Mansfield Town now have a millionaire who has taken over - Mr Radford a born and bred Mansfieldian. He's the owner of One Call insurance - the current shirt sponsor of Donny Rovers. Now with some financial backing and a decent team it's one more hurdle Creepy Crawley will have to jump over to win the League before it all goes pop.

The B-Ark / league cup
« on: August 27, 2010, 07:52:11 AM »
Forgive my ignorance but is there some kind of Blue Square Cup which the teams of all 3 divisions compete for?
Or is the Bob Lord Trophy still going just for the top league and will probably be won again be Maidstone, Barnet or Enfield?
Anyroad, if the former, there is the possibility of being drawn against "moneybags" from the Broadfield Stadium (whose money I'm not sure). Should jock and his little brother ever return with a visiting side what kind of reception is he likely to get?

The B-Ark / England in WC Final

I'm sure I recall Howard Webb reffing our home game against the Codheads possibly one Boxing Day and sending off a mardy Ben Chapman.
Anyroad now we're in a higher league we can be thankful that all the officials will great every week.

The B-Ark / bingo
« on: April 26, 2010, 10:45:03 AM »
A Tuesday night home game is certainly a rarity. For many years it couldn't seem to happen because it was bingo night. In the Conference on one occasion we couldn't switch a game to Tuesday to be on TV due to the bingo. Is it because the Malks are not involved anymore except for pocketing rent that Tuesdays are suddenly not a problem? Then again if BPA get to switch to their usual Mon night did we have the option of switching to Wed?

The B-Ark / Forest connections
« on: February 16, 2010, 03:20:43 PM »
Couple of Satdy's ago I went to Forest v Shef Wed and I've just got round to reading the programme.
On the photo archives page is a slim Tony 'The Crane' Crane tackling Marlon Harewood in Dec2002; Jason Lee complete with famous haircut scoring in Dec1995; and Stan Collymore scoring in April1995 (I include Stan as according to Steve he did actually sign for us)!
It also mentions one of their football in the community staff being Lawrie Dudfield.

The B-Ark / advent calendar & Ebay
« on: December 10, 2009, 02:20:51 PM »
Like the advent calandar offers on the official site - nice idea which I've made use of.
Whilst looking for bufc related goodies for Xmas - I see that there's a ball being advertised on ebay signed by a convicted criminal !! he he
I reckon i've got a club party invitation signed by evans himself somewhere - maybe ebay experts can tell me if stuff related to criminals is worth listing! Perhaps it would be worth more if he'd actually been thrown inside!
