The B-Ark / 10 matches in...
« on: September 20, 2011, 11:05:57 PM »
...so, thoughts?

We have 14 points from our opening 10 matches - an identical haul to two seasons ago when we went on to be promoted.

I think we've had some bad performances and results but we still have a decent squad which will not finish below mid-table. Whether we can mount a proper play-offs campaign depends on whether we solve our attacking problems. Promisingly, the managers seem to be aware of these problems and are taking measures to put them right (the signings of Ben Fairclough and Jordan Burrow).

Lee Canoville said "it's been an average start" (second tweet down).

The B-Ark / Ex-Player XI
« on: July 10, 2011, 01:22:51 PM »
Naturally as Boston Utd fans the players we know the most about are those who have previosuly played for us. Hence every summer most suggestions for 'new' signings by fans are ex-Pilgrims.

In reality the players that the club has actually signed (Fairclough and Hall) are new to the club, but can we put together a starting eleven of ex-players that have been put forward as potential signings for the club this summer?

*Grimsby originally submitted an offer for Pearson on June 9th
*Boston saw the fee as far too low and suggested a new figure, but Grimsby would not budge from the original offer
*Regarding the impending court case over compensation for the departure of Scott & Hurst, Grimsby have until July 7th to register their defence

An outstanding poem which truly captures the highs, the lows and the blows and of course the spirit of yesterday's epic encounter.

Hoping we can drive ourselves into the play offs with some momentum on Saturday. Although I wouldn't want us to exhaust ourselves.

Using the website used by Ferret in the other thread, here are some of the old websites that you may remember. Obviously all the picture files haven't been retrieved in the second design.

How different things used to be. John Blackwell as General Manager, Paul Bastock as our goalkeeper, Pilgrims' Patter as the club forum (moderated by Ken Fox), Gareth Jelleyman, Chestnut Homes as sponsors, oh - and in the third picture, Jason Lee is on the squad page.

Oh...hang on!
