Anybody know what his present position is? Is he likely to play for us ever again? If so, when? We have certainly missed his speed down the flanks.

Looks fantastic. Let`s hope the players appreciate it. If they want to stay, things must improve.

Seems like the Southport manager thought the result flattered them. Check out the early part of his post match interview here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8w_a5i53xWY

I couldn`t see the point of only having two strikers up front who were outnumbered too often Only when Jake came on did we show any urgency and throw more people forward. On another tack, did anyone notice Crook being put under constant pressure during their set pieces? There was no help from his defenders. Also, there was a lot of shoving and timewasting tactics from Southport. If we had retaliated, there would have been been more sendings off. Clearly, the Southport management had done their homework on us and it worked. All credit to them. Shiels was a shadow of his normal self which was understandable after a lengthy lay off. Garner played his socks off and kept going to the very end.

If anybody is interested, the highlights are on youtube . Check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEaZvzkRl2k. Their players seemed much sharper whereas our players left too much space for them to use. They must close down players on the ball more quickly. It was almost they were afraid to do this at times. Their manager gave an honest interview and thought Duxbury`s sending off was harsh.

Am I right in thinking that before this game we were level on points. If so, imagine how their current positions would have changed if Blyth had gained three point and we had lost them. You only have to see their positions now.

Difficult to name our MOM but I thought Elliott caused their defence a lot of problems resulting with a lot of shirt pulling from their players. Ferguson also played a very good game at times. Well done lads, you made me feel proud today especially when I heard one of the home supporters say a draw would have been a fairer result and they were lucky to get a penalty decider.

I am not enthralled with Rose so far. He seems to have underestimated the standard of this league and appears too casual with his performance. Unlike others around him he finds an empty position and waits for the ball to find him instead of the other way round. I hope the return of Platt gives him food for thought.

interesting to note that nobody predicted a Chorley victory today. Just goes to show what a strange league this is. Having said that, I thought the best team won on the day, although their time-wasting tactics once they went ahead was deplorable. Another thing that puzzles me is the way players these days never take a throw in at the correct place and yet the linesmen just turn a blind eye. Boston are just as guilty as other teams in this respect.
